Tree of Hope

Airdrie & District Hospice Society's Tree of Hope

One of our most cherished events, the Tree of Hope ceremony takes place each December. This free event welcomes all to attend to honour and remember their loved ones who have passed and can not be with us. A time to come together, to share in the moment and know that you are not alone.

Tree of Hope Ceremony

Date: December 2, 2018  5pm - 6pm
Location: Nose Creek Park Airdrie - Festival of Lights (heated tent)

We start the night off with some words from board members of the society and a non-denominational prayer followed with some songs from a local choir. For those who register (free) for this event we will read your names and those you are there to honour so that you may come up and receive a candle and ornamental token.

We then move on to lighting our Tree of Hope outside, turning on the lights as the choir agains fills the night with music.

Donations at the Tree of Hope Ceremony

While we appreciate donations and will accept them at the event, it is preferred if you can donate ahead of time to avoid our board members from carrying around extra cash or cheques. If you would like your name read along with the name of your loved one please register by contacting the hospice so we can add you to the list of names and have a candle ready for you.

Where is the Tree of Hope

Currently we use a tree that is part of the Airdrie Festival of Lights. The Festival of Lights runs December 1 - 31st each year and is located at Nosecreek Park in Airdrie, Alberta.
